Beveridge Report

…The report submitted in November of the following year by the Inter-Ministerial Liaison Committee for Social Insurance and Allied Services (chaired by WH Beveridge), which was established in June 1941 in the UK. It is also known as the Beveridge Report. Its official name is Social Insurance and Allied Services, Reported by William Beveridge. The committee's mission was to reexamine the various systems in the UK at the time, which were originally lacking in consistency as a social security system, to clarify their interrelationships, and to recommend measures for improvement.
