An alloy of platinum containing 10-13% rhodium. The wire is paired with a platinum wire and used in thermocouples, with a maximum operating temperature of 1600°C. It is also used in crucibles for melting glass, nozzles for manufacturing glass fibers, and catalysts in sulfuric acid manufacturing and the petrochemical industry.
