[Life and Culture]
Bedouin life has not changed much since ancient times, and they have a culture centered on movement. Their homes are dark tents called bayt sha'ar or khayma, which are suitable for mobility. They are made of goat or camel hair and woven to allow good ventilation, and when it rains, the wool expands to prevent rainwater from passing through.
