[Jazz and popular music arrangements]
In jazz and popular music, the arranger plays a large role, and the songwriter and the arranger who accompanies and arranges the instruments are separate. In jazz, it is common to use musical arrangements in performance, but there is also a method called head arrange, where there is no arrangement and the leader gives verbal instructions.
