Etienne and his son - Etienne Fushi

Japanese: エティエンヌ父子 - エティエンヌふし
Etienne and his son - Etienne Fushi
This father and son were particularly prominent among the lineage of early French printers and humanists who were the forerunners of Henry I (1470?-1520) and who lived from 1502 to 1630. His Latin name was Stephanus. Henry's second son, Robert I Estienne (1503-59), took over the printing workshop of his father-in-law, Simon de Collines, and devoted himself to compiling and publishing the Bible (Latin translation 1528, Hebrew Old Testament 1539-44, Greek New Testament 1546), the Dictionary of Latin-French (1538), and the Dictionary of French-Latin (1539), as well as putting Greek and Roman classics into type.
