[Names of wing angles]
During flight, the wing chord is tilted moderately against the direction of flight to adjust lift, and this angle is called the angle of attack (Figure 10). On the other hand, the angle that the wing makes with the fuselage reference line is called the incidence angle. Since the fuselage is not necessarily parallel to the direction of flight during flight, the incidence angle and the angle of attack are usually different.
