1884‐1946 Chinese politician. Born in Wuxing, Zhejiang Province. Said to be Wang Jingwei's brother-in-law. In the late Qing Dynasty, while studying in Japan and France, he became a member of the Tongminghui, and founded the magazine "New Century" in Paris with Wu Jingheng (Zhihui) and others, encouraging anarchist revolution. Immediately after the Xinhai Revolution, he worked for the Shanghai Tongminghui organization, but later traveled to Europe several times to study medicine. In 1924, he became a candidate executive committee member of the Kuomintang Central Committee, and subsequently held important positions in the party and state. As a confidant of Wang Jingwei, he was appointed Vice Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Wang Jingwei's peace government during the Sino-Japanese War, and was executed after the war for being a traitor to the Chinese.
