angel shark

...A marine fish of the Squatinidae family (illustration). Its English name is monkfish (a fish shaped like a monk's uniform) or angel shark (a shark with pectoral fins that spread out like angel wings) due to the shape of its pectoral fins. There are two species of Squatinidae in the waters off Japan: the Squatinid and the Squatinid shark . They are distinguished by the fact that the outer angle of the pectoral fins of the Squatinid shark is slightly larger than a right angle, while the Squatinid shark opens to more than 120 degrees.
