…When Jason came to Colchis in search of the Golden Fleece at the behest of his uncle, King Pelias of Iolcus, Medea, who was in love with Jason, helped him obtain the fleece and accompanied him to Greece. When they arrived at Iolcus, Medea found that Aisōn, Jason's father, had been forced to commit suicide by Pelias, so she showed Pelias' daughters how to rejuvenate a sheep by boiling it in a pot, and had them kill their father in the same way. They fled to Corinth, where they had two children, but when Jason married the daughter of King Kreon, Medea killed the king, the princess, and her own son, and fled to Aegeus, King of Athens. …
