Acromion

…the glenoid cavity is shallow, allowing for great mobility, but it is prone to dislocation. At the front and above the shoulder joint is a protrusion of the scapula called the acromion, which can be felt or seen. It is used as the reference point for the length of the upper limb when measuring the shoulder.
