Kishinoue's Skink - Kishinoue's Skink

Japanese: キシノウエトカゲ - きしのうえとかげ
Kishinoue's Skink - Kishinoue's Skink

...The back of the adult is uniformly brownish and the blue color of the tail fades, but the whole is shiny. Of the Japanese lizards, the Kishinouyei lizard of the Sakishima Islands is large, reaching a total length of 26-39 cm, while the Ishigaki lizard of the Yaeyama Islands is slightly smaller at 15 cm, and all the others are around 20-25 cm in total length. The Blue-striped Lizard E. elegans , found in Taiwan and China, is found only in the Senkaku Islands in Japan, and the distribution of the species in the Nansei Islands that has been recorded so far is thought to be incorrect.
