A feudal lord of the early modern period. Born in Ise Province. Mitsuyoshi served Toyotomi Hideyoshi and held 10,000 koku of land in Ise Province. From the Battle of Sekigahara, he served Tokugawa Ieyasu and was given an increased fief of 20,000 koku in Ise Ueno. In 1619 (Genwa 5), during the reign of Mitsunobu, he was transferred to Omi Province. He established a jin'ya in Omizo, and continued to do so until the end of the Edo period. The head of the family was appointed to the rank of Sakyo-no-jo (Junior Fifth Rank), Wakasa-no-kami, and other titles. After the Meiji Restoration, he became a viscount. 近世大名。伊勢国の出身。光嘉は豊臣秀吉に仕え,伊勢国内において1万石を領有。関ヶ原の戦のときより徳川家康に属し,加増されて伊勢上野2万石となる。1619年(元和5)光信のとき近江国に転封。大溝に陣屋を置き,以後幕末に至る。当主は従五位下左京亮,若狭守などに叙任。維新後は子爵。【大森 映子】
