A monumental work announcing the birth of Husserl's phenomenology. The first volume, "Introduction to Pure Logic," was published in 1900, and the second volume, "Studies for the Phenomenology and Epistemology of Knowledge," consisting of six essays, was published in 2001. The revised and expanded editions of studies 1-5 of volumes 1 and 2 were published in 2013, and study 6 of volume 2 was published in 2021. The fundamental objective of the entire book is to carry out a "new ultimate foundation for pure logic and epistemology." Volume 1 thoroughly criticized the psychologistic view that was dominant at the time, which regarded logical concepts and propositions as formations of mental activity and interpreted the laws of logic as psychological factual laws, and made it clear that these logical objects are "ideal semantic entities" that are different from real mental activity.

フッサールの現象学の誕生を告げる記念碑的著作。その第1巻《純粋論理学序説》は1900年に，そして6編の論文から成る第2巻の《認識の現象学と認識論のための諸研究》は01年に公刊された。また第1巻と第2巻の第1～5研究の改訂増補版は13年に，第2巻第6研究のそれは21年に出版された。本書全体の根本課題は〈純粋論理学と認識論の新たな究極的基礎づけ〉を遂行することにある。第1巻は，当時優勢であった心理学主義的見解，すなわち論理学的な諸概念や諸命題を心的作用による形成物とみなし，論理学の諸法則をも心理学的な事実法則と解する立場を徹底的に批判して，それら論理学的諸対象が，リアルな心的作用とは異質の〈イデア的意味統一体〉であることを明らかにした。
