Viktor Sergeevich Rozov

Japanese: ローゾフ - ろーぞふ(英語表記)Виктор Сергеевич Розов/Viktor Sergeevich Rozov
Viktor Sergeevich Rozov

Russian playwright. He was seriously wounded on the front in 1941, and thereafter decided to pursue a career in playwriting. His play The Eternals, written in 1943 and finally successfully premiered at the Sovremennik Theatre in 1956, was adapted into a screenplay by director Mikhail Kalatozov (1903-1973), and the film The Cranes Fly (1957) won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 1958. His first play Her Friends (1949), followed by Good Morning! He established himself as a popular playwright with works such as "Before Dinner" (1954), "Before Dinner" (1961), "Unbalanced Battle" (1960, translated into Japanese as "First Love"), "On the Wedding Day" (1963), "Class Reunion" (1967), and "Brother Alyosha" (1971). The distinctive feature of his plays is that they depict the adolescence period, which can be said to be a turning point in life, through the conflicts of ordinary everyday life.
