A Buddhist site in India. To be more specific, it is called the Deer Garden of the Dwelling of Immortals (in Sanskrit, Rishipatana Mrigadhava), which means "a garden where religious people gather and where deer are allowed to roam freely." Currently, it is located in Sarnath, 10 kilometers northeast of the holy city of Benares (Varanasi), and is revered as one of the four great Buddhist holy sites, as it is the place where Shakyamuni first preached after attaining enlightenment (First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma). A stone pillar built by King Ashoka in the 3rd century BC was discovered here, and the four lion statues on the capital of the pillar are used as the national emblem of India, and the wheel on the base is used as the national flag. There are also ruins of the 28-meter diameter Dhamekh Tower (6th century) and the Dharmarajika Tower built by King Ashoka, and the museum displays the excavated relics, which are a masterpiece.
