Yawning - yawning (English spelling)
Yawning is a unique breathing movement that consists of a long, deep inhalation (breathing in) with the mouth wide open, followed by a slow exhalation (breathing out). Yawning usually lasts for 5 to 10 seconds, with the inhalation period being long. Yawning is accompanied by contraction of the extensor muscles of the entire body, particularly the extension of the upper and lower limbs and trunk backwards. It occurs frequently in newborns. Yawning is seen not only in humans but also in various animals, and can be induced experimentally by electrical stimulation of a specific part of the brain (the internal capsule).
