Lelia

A genus of the orchid family native to tropical America. It resembles Cattleya overall, but has a long peduncle, good flowering, and a small lip. There are about 75 wild species, and many hybrids have been made between them and other genera, but the Laeriocattleya, which was made with Cattleya, is particularly famous. 熱帯アメリカ原産のラン科の一属。全体にカトレアに似ているが，花柄は長く，花つきがよく，唇弁(しんべん)は小さい。約75種の野生種があり，それらの間や，他属との間に多くの交雑種が作られているが，カトレアとの間に作られたレリオカトレアは特に有名。ミズゴケ，バークなどを植込み材料とし，温室で栽培する。
