Kisei [town] - Kisei
An old town in Watarai County in the central south of Mie Prefecture. The Kisei Main Line runs through the town. Most of the town area is mountain forest, and forestry is active, producing a lot of timber and shiitake mushrooms. The area facing the Kumano Nada Sea is a rich fishing ground, with yellowtail and other fish caught. In February 2005, it merged with Omiya Town and Ouchiyama Village in Watarai County to become a town, Taiki Town. 68.12 km2 . 4,570 people (2003).
