Born: June 28, 1860 in Chernigov [Died] January 10, 1933, Samara Russian historian. Graduated from St. Petersburg State University in 1882. Professor at the same university since 1999. Member of the Academy of Sciences (1920-1931). He made groundbreaking achievements in research on Russian history from the late 16th century to the early 17th century, especially the Time of Troubles (Smuta), and continued to have a great influence even after the revolution, but he did not change his position as a monarchist, and was arrested and exiled to Samara.
