Les Combarelles

Japanese: レ・コンバレル(英語表記)Les Combarelles
Les Combarelles
A Paleolithic site in the Dordogne department in southwestern France. In 1901, Breuil, Capitan, and Peyronni investigated the cave and determined that the murals in the cave were from the Paleolithic period, which was also recognized by the Academie de Paris. This was the first time that Paleolithic cave murals were officially recognized. The cave is divided into two. Cave 1 is long and narrow, measuring 237m in length, 1.5-2m in width, and 1.6-1.75m in height. The murals (mostly line drawings) begin 120m from the entrance, and line drawings of various sizes overlap each other.
