...Antelope of the bovidae family (illustration). A medium-sized antelope that lives in the savannah of East Africa. Both males and females have large horns in proportion to their body size, a light yellowish brown body color, and a prominent white marking on their rump. Body length is 1-1.2m, tail length 12-14cm. Male horns are usually 55cm long, with particularly large ones reaching nearly 80cm. Female horns are thin and short. They live in herds of several dozen animals, or 200-400 animals or more in the dry season, in dry grasslands with good visibility and shrubs.
