Lumen - Lumen (English spelling)

It is expressed in the MKS unit of luminous flux, as well as its own name and symbol. It is a derived unit of the International System of Units. It is a unit of the amount of light, and the higher the value, the brighter it is. Its symbol is lm. It refers to the radiant energy, or luminous flux, emitted within a solid angle of 1 steradian from a point source whose luminous intensity emitted in all directions is uniformly 1 candela. Therefore, the total luminous flux emitted from a point source of 1 candela is 4π lumens.
