The origin of Aries

Japanese: 牡羊の原点 - おひつじのげんてん
The origin of Aries

In Greek mythology, it is said to be a golden ram that flies to Colchis on the eastern coast of the Black Sea carrying the brother and sister Frixos and Helle, hated by their father, and that on the way, the sister Helle falls off in the Hellespont (now the Sea of Marmara). In Greek times, the vernal equinox was in this constellation and was called the "origin of Aries," but today, due to precession, the vernal equinox has moved to the neighboring constellation Pisces to the east. Alpha Hamal is a red giant star with a magnitude of 2.2 and a spectral type of K2, and is located 80 light years away.
