A Czech daily newspaper, the name of which means "Red Right" but was renamed Právo in 1995. It is published in Prague. It was first published in September 1920 by the left wing of the Czechoslovak Social Democratic Party as Právo lidu (People's Rights), and in May 1921, when the Czechoslovak Communist Party was formed, it changed its name to Rude Právo and became its organ. During the Czechoslovak Revolution in August 1968, the editorial office was occupied and shelled, but the paper staunchly supported the reformist Dubček and denounced the invasion of the Warsaw Pact forces, which made the paper widely known.
