Liangzhou

During the Han Dynasty in China, this was the name of a prefecture centered on Wuwei City in what is now central Gansu Province. During the Qing Dynasty, it became the Liangzhou Prefecture. Located along the Silk Road, it was at the crossroads between the Central Plains Dynasty and the power of nomadic tribes, and during the Five Barbarians and Sixteen Kingdoms period, the Former Liang, Later Liang, Southern Liang, Northern Liang, and Western Liang were based here. 中国の漢代、現在の甘粛省中部の武威市を中心に置かれた州名。清代には涼州府となった。シルクロードに沿い、中原王朝と遊牧民族の勢力の接点にあり、五胡十六国時代の前涼、後涼、南涼、北涼、西涼はこの地に拠った。
