A new dance drama. One act. Written by Tsubouchi Shoyo. It first premiered at the Tokyo Imperial Theater in June 1929. Ryokan was played by Morita Kan'ya 13th. Music by Tokiwazu Mojibei 3rd and Tokiwazu Matsuo Tayu 3rd. Choreography by Fujima Kanjuro 7th. The setting is a Jizo hall on the outskirts of a village in Echigo Province. Ryokan, who loves children, joins in with the children, playing ball, telling them the story of the rabbit in the moon, and playing tag.
