1803‐77 He was born in Hanover, Germany, and was active in Paris as an electrical machinery and equipment manufacturer. He is famous for creating the induction coil. He trained as a potter's wheel worker, and gradually came to specialize in precision machining. He opened a factory in Paris in 1839, and manufactured experimental machinery and equipment at the request of AM Ampère and others. The induction coil was created by the American CG Page in the late 1830s, but the one made by Rümkorff in 1851 was famous in Europe. The induction coil is a device that generates high voltage alternating current from low voltage direct current to create sparks, and at the time it served as a bridge between frictional electricity (static electricity) and Voltaic electricity (dynamic electricity). 1803‐77 ドイツのハノーファーに生まれ,パリで活躍した電気機械器具製造家。
