Particle beam

Japanese: 粒子線 - りゅうしせん

A thin stream of particles such as atoms, molecules, ions, atomic nuclei, neutrons, and electrons moving in a certain direction. It is used to measure magnetic moments, collision cross sections (collisions), etc., and is important in the study of atomic nuclei. In addition, particles have wave properties and diffract like X-rays when they hit matter, so the diffraction of electron beams and neutron beams in particular is used in the study of material structure.
