Long Hu Shan (Long Hu Shan)

Japanese: 竜虎山 - りゅうこざん（英語表記）Lóng hǔ shān

A mountain in Guixi County, Jiangxi Province, China. It is the location of the head temple of the Zhengichi school of Taoism. The Zhengichi school is a branch of the Gotobei school, which held influence in the Sichuan region from the end of the Eastern Han dynasty to the Three Kingdoms Wei dynasty. It is said that the school moved its base to Longhu Mountain during the Yongjia period of the Western Jin dynasty (307-312) during the time of the fourth Tianshi Zhang Sheng, and after the Yuan dynasty it became one of the two major powers in Taoism, alongside the Quanzhen sect. The Shangqing Temple, which enshrines various gods, and the Successor Han Tianshi Office, the residence of successive Tianshi, were established here, but today only a small part of these remains. 中国，江西省貴渓県にある山。道教正一派の本山の所在地。正一派は後漢末から三国魏にかけて四川省一帯に勢力を有した五斗米道（ごとべいどう）の末流。第4代天師張盛のとき，西晋の永嘉年間(307‐312)に竜虎山に本拠を移したと伝え，元以後は全真教と並んで道教を二分する勢力となった。諸神をまつる〈上清宮〉と代々の天師の居処である〈嗣漢天師府〉とが置かれたが，現在はそのごく一部を存するのみである。【麦谷邦夫】
