Ryuo [town] - Ryuo

Japanese: 竜王[町] - りゅうおう

A former town in Nakakoma District, central Yamanashi Prefecture. It occupies the Kofu Basin on the left bank of the Kamanashi River, borders Kofu City, and is served by the Chuo Main Line. It produces rice and wheat, and also raises silkworms. Vegetable cultivation is also thriving in the suburbs. The area has become significantly more residential, and factories have also moved in. The Shingen Levee remains on the Kamanashi River. In September 2004, it merged with Shikishima Town, Nakakoma District, and Futaba Town, Kitakoma District, to form Kai City. ^{12.80 km2} . Population: 39,345 (2003).

A town in Gamo District, central Shiga Prefecture. Occupying the midstream of the Hino River, the town produces rice, vegetables, flowers, and livestock. In recent years, automobile and food factories have been established and urbanization is progressing. The town has been open since ancient times, and there are many ancient tombs in the hills. Namura Shrine is located here. The Meishin Expressway runs through the town. 44.55 ^km2 . Population: 12,916 (2010).

山梨県中部，中巨摩(なかこま)郡の旧町。釜無(かまなし)川左岸の甲府盆地を占め，甲府市に接し，中央本線が通じる。米，麦を産し，養蚕も行う。近郊野菜栽培も盛ん。住宅地化が著しく，工場も進出している。釜無川には信玄堤が残る。2004年９月中巨摩郡敷島町，北巨摩郡双葉町と合併し，甲斐市となる。12.80km²。３万9345人（2003）。

滋賀県中部，蒲生(がもう)郡の町。日野川中流域を占め，米，野菜，花卉(かき)などを産し，畜産も行う。近年，自動車，食品などの工場が立地し，都市化が進む。古くからひらけた地で丘陵地には古墳が多い。苗村(なむら)神社がある。名神高速道路が通じる。44.55km²。１万2916人（2010）。
