Xenius

…He studied in France and, together with Ortega y Gasset, advocated participation in the European intellectual movement. He was a pioneer intellectual in Spain in the 20th century. He used the pen name Xènius, and his most famous work is the commentary Glosari, written in Catalan from 1906 to 1914. He was also a central figure in the Catalan Regional Government Office presided over by Prato de la Riva, and served as director of the Catalan Institute (founded in 1907) for ten years from 1911. …
