A mammal of the family Phocoenoidae in the suborder Odontoceti. One of the body color variations of the Dall's porpoise, Phocoenoides dalli . The name given to individuals whose white spots on the sides of their bodies reach the pectoral fins, and which are also called the truei -type. In contrast, the type whose white spots end below the dorsal fin is called the dalli -type. The two types are sometimes considered to be separate subspecies, but since there are no differences other than body color, they are considered to be variations within the same species.

ハクジラ亜目ネズミイルカ科の哺乳類。イシイルカPhocoenoides dalli(英名Dall’s porpoise)の体色変異の一つ。体側の白斑が胸びれに達する個体の呼称で，リクゼンイルカ型truei‐type(英名True’s porpoise)ともいう。これに対して，白斑が背びれの下で終わっている型をイシイルカ型dalli‐typeと呼ぶ。両型を別亜種とした場合もあるが，体色以外には違いがないので，同種内の変異とされている。
