Evgeniy Alekseevich Kosminskiy

Russian historian. Graduated from the Faculty of History and Literature at Moscow University (1910). He made outstanding achievements in the field of medieval agricultural history in England, writing such books as "The English Countryside in the 13th Century" (1935) and "Studies in the Agricultural History of 13th Century England" (1947). He served as professor of medieval history at his alma mater (1934-49) and head of the medieval history department at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences (1936-52), and was an academician from 1946.

ロシアの歴史家。モスクワ大学歴史・文学部を卒業（1910）。イギリス中世農業史の分野で優れた業績をあげ、『13世紀イギリスの農村』（1935）、『13世紀イギリス農業史研究』（1947）などの著書を著した。母校の中世史講座主任教授（1934～49）、科学アカデミー歴史研究所中世史部門主任（1936～52）などを務め、46年からアカデミー会員を兼ねた。
