Japanese: 猪苗代[町] - いなわしろ

A town in Yama District, northern Fukushima Prefecture. It is surrounded by mountain ranges, including Mt. Agatsuma to the north, Mt. Adatara and Mt. Otaki to the east, and Mt. Bandai to the west. The southern shore of Lake Inawashiro is a basin with open rice fields. The town is served by the Ban'etsu West Line and the Ban'etsu Expressway, and small towns have developed in Inawashiro, Kawageta, and Okishima. Rice, tomatoes, and green beans are produced here. The northern half of the town is part of Bandai-Asahi National Park, and the Inawashiro Ski Resort is located at the southern foot of Mt. Bandai. Hideyo Noguchi's birthplace is on Sanjogata Lagoon. The town sustained damage during the Great East Japan Earthquake. ^{394.85 km2} . 15,805 people (2010).

福島県北部，耶麻(やま)郡の町。北は吾妻山，東は安達太良(あだたら)山，大滝山，西は磐梯山の山地で，南の猪苗代湖岸は盆地で水田が開ける。磐越西(ばんえつさい)線，磐越自動車道が通じ，猪苗代，川桁(かわげた)，翁島などに小市街が発達。米，トマト，インゲンを産する。北半部は磐梯朝日国立公園に属し，磐梯山南麓に猪苗代スキー場がある。三城潟(さんじょうがた)に野口英世の生家がある。東日本大震災で，町内において被害が発生。394.85km²。１万5805人（2010）。
