1593‐1652 A painter from the Lorraine region of France. Records of him appear after 1616, so it is assumed that he went to Italy before then. However, the simplicity of his style and the religious nature of his subjects make this unlikely. From 1620 he set up a studio in Lunéville near Nancy, and it is believed he never left there until his death. This city was a key transportation hub with close connections to Burgundy, Metz, Nancy, and other cities, and was also the site of the Thirty Years' War. 1593‐1652 フランス,ロレーヌ地方の画家。
