…His birth and death years are unknown, but he is thought to have lived around the 5th or 6th century. He is also known as Umāsvāmin. He is widely known as the author of the Tatva Artha Adigama Sutra (The Sutra for Understanding the Meaning of Truth), a compilation of Jain doctrines.
