A large literary group that supported West German literature after World War II. It was formed by literary figures and journalists. After the war, when the political and cultural critique magazine Der Ruf, published by the younger generation, was banned by the occupying authorities in 1947, its members, led by HW Richter and Anders, came together to form the group. At the time, their goal was to promote two objectives, namely, to train elites in the fields of literature and journalism, and to practice democracy by individuals, without any platform, organization, or uniform ideology. Its core members were Seeling, Kolbenhoff, Kremer-Badoni, and Jens, with other members including H. Bell, G. Grass, and Johnson. It was dissolved in 1977.
