A town facing Omura Bay in Higashisonogi County, Nagasaki Prefecture. During the feudal era, there was a sea route going south through the bay, making it an important transportation point to Nagasaki. Tea cultivation is thriving, and there are many tea factories. Fruit cultivation is also carried out. The Omura Line and Nagasaki Expressway run through the town. 74.29 km2 . 8,903 people (2010).
