Prognosis - Yogo (English spelling)

Japanese: 予後 - よご(英語表記)prognosis
Prognosis - Yogo (English spelling)

The word is derived from the Greek words pro (before) and gnosis (to know), and means to predict the course or end of a disease when contracted. Prognosis is determined by the relationship between the cause of the disease, the individual's response to it, and the treatment method. However, there are many diseases whose causes are unknown, there are large individual differences in the body's response to the cause and treatment, and there are many diseases for which a cure has yet to be found, so it is often difficult to judge the prognosis. In recent years, advances in statistical processing methods, including computers, have led to a large amount of data being reported on the course and prognosis of many cases of disease, as well as factors and risk factors that determine prognosis, making it possible to draw conclusions from a broader perspective.
