Gora [Hot Spring] - Gora

Japanese: 強羅[温泉] - ごうら

A hot spring located on the northeastern slope of Mt. Soun in Hakone-machi, Kanagawa Prefecture. The water is drawn from Soun Jigoku and Owakudani, and includes gypsum- and hydrogen sulfide-containing green springs and simple springs. 29-94°C. The hot spring town has developed around Gora Station, the terminus of the Hakone Tozan Railway, and includes the Hakone Museum of Art and Gora Park. Mt. Myojin-ga-take and Mt. Myojo-ga-take, which are part of the Hakone outer rim, can be seen across the Hayakawa Valley. A cable car runs to Mt. Soun.

神奈川県箱根町，早雲山北東斜面にある温泉。湯は早雲地獄と大涌谷から引き，石膏・硫化水素含有緑バン泉，単純泉など。29〜94℃。箱根登山鉄道の終点強羅駅を中心に温泉街が発達，箱根美術館，強羅公園があり，早川の谷を隔てて箱根外輪山の明神ヶ岳，明星ヶ岳が望まれる。早雲山へケーブルカーが通じる。
