[Died] March 20, 2004. Queen of Baarn of the Netherlands (reigned 1948-1980). Full name Juliana Louise Emma Marie Wilhelmina. Born as the only daughter of Queen Wilhelmina and Hendrik. Studied law at Leiden University from 1927 to 1930. In 1937, she married German nobleman Prince Bernhard and had four daughters. During World War II, when the Netherlands was occupied by Germany, she fled to Ottawa, Canada, and returned to the Netherlands in 1945. She served as regent from October to December 1947 and from May to August 1948 to help Queen Wilhelmina, who was ill. She ascended to the throne in September 1948 after Queen Wilhelmina abdicated. Domestically, she focused on social welfare and was well-liked by the people. On April 30, 1980, she abdicated the throne to her eldest daughter, Beatrix.

オランダ女王（在位 1948～80）。フルネーム Juliana Louise Emma Marie Wilhelmina。ウィルヘルミナ女王とヘンドリクのひとり娘として生まれた。1927～30年ライデン大学で法律を学んだ。1937年ドイツの貴族ベルンハルト公と結婚，4女をもうけた。オランダがドイツに占領された第2次世界大戦中はカナダのオタワに亡命し，1945年に帰国，1947年10～12月と 1948年5～8月，病気のウィルヘルミナ女王を助けて摂政を務めた。ウィルヘルミナ女王の退位により 1948年9月即位。国内的には社会福祉に力を入れ，国民に親しまれた。1980年4月30日，長女ベアトリクスに譲位。
