Japanese: ユノ（英語表記）Juno

An ancient Italian goddess identified with Hera in Greek mythology. She was the patron goddess of women in married life, such as childbirth, marriage, and defloration, and also had the characteristics of a moon goddess, but in Lavinium she was considered a multifunctional great goddess who was a mother goddess, queen, and warrior at the same time. In Rome, she was enshrined together with Minerva in the Temple of Jupiter on the Capitoline Hill and was highly revered as the spouse of the supreme god, but as a result of her identification with Hera, she was also feared as a goddess who tended to support her enemies, such as the Etruscans and Carthage, and continued to harbor a grudge against Rome, which inherited the Trojan traditions through Aeneas.
