A perennial plant of the lily family (APG classification: Asparagaceae). The stem grows from a rhizome, is upright, about 40 cm tall, and the upper part grows diagonally upwards. The leaves are arranged in two rows on the stem, are oblong, about 10 cm long, covered with pubescent hairs on both sides, and have several vertical veins. From May to June, a panicle with soft pubescent hairs about 7 cm long is produced at the top of the stem, and many white flowers bloom. The flowers are about 5 mm in diameter, have six perianths that are narrowly oblong and pointed at the tip, and the fruit is a spherical berry about 5 mm in diameter that ripens red in October to November and produces several seeds.
