In the Northern Kingdom, where usurpers often took the throne, he was the fourth king of the stable Jehu dynasty along with the Omri dynasty, and ruled for 40 years. During this period, the power of arch enemy Aram also declined, and the Northern Kingdom expanded economically to the north and south, and also interacted with the advanced trading nation of Phoenicia, resulting in economic prosperity.
