A financial official in the early Mongol Empire. Born in Urgench, the capital of the Khwarezmian state. Sometimes translated as 'Ya Hua Chi'. In 1220, after the Khwarezmian state was destroyed by Genghis Khan's Western Regions Expedition, he came down with his son Mas'ud and served the Mongols in charge of taxation in the Western Regions. In 41, he was summoned to the East to collect taxes in the North China territories. During the subsequent period of Imperial Regime under Empress Taizong, he lost his position because Abdul Rahman, a financial official of Western Regions merchant origin, took charge of the finances, but after Rahman's execution during the reign of Jeongjong, he was restored to his old position, and in 51 (the 1st year of the reign of Emperor Xianzong), he was appointed Minister of State for the Ministry of Finance in Yenching, where he was in charge of taxation in the Han region for several years. During that time, he implemented the reduction of the seven liang silver package tax system that Rahman had previously proposed but was not approved, to six liang.

モンゴル帝国初期の財政官。ホラズム国の首都ウルゲンチの人。〈牙剌洼赤〉と漢音訳される場合もある。1220年，チンギス･ハーンの西域遠征でホラズム国が滅びるや，その子マスードとともに来降，モンゴルに仕えて西域の賦税を掌る。41年，東方に召喚され華北属領の徴税に当たる。続く太宗后皇監国時代には西域商人出身の財務官アブドゥル･ラーマンが財務を主宰したため地位を失ったが，定宗朝にラーマンが処刑されるや旧地位に復活，51年(憲宗1)には燕京行尚書省事に任ぜられ，漢地の税務を担当すること数年，その間，ラーマンがかつて提唱して許されなかった銀七両制包銀税を6両に減額して実施に移した。
