Born on July 23, 1890. Influenced by non-church Christianity, he later explored socialism, anarchism, Laozi and Zhuangzi ideology, and absolute other-power reliance. After the High Treason Incident, he contributed critiques to Osugi Sakae's "Modern Thought." He committed suicide on November 5, 1913. He was 24 years old. "Kaiyama Posthumous Manuscripts" were published after his death. He was from Tokyo and graduated from Waseda University. His real name was Ichizo.
