A monument in Yamana-cho, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. One of the three monuments in Kozuke. Also known as the Yamana Village Monument. A natural stone about 1.12m high and 0.47m wide, with 53 characters in 4 lines engraved on one side. The gist of it is that the monk Nagatoshi built it for his mother, Kuroume Toji, and there is an inscription of the year Shinshi. This Shinshi corresponds to the 10th year of Emperor Tenmu (681), and it is thought to serve as a burial target for the circular tomb nearby.
