Japanese:
Wind ventilation - Fūtsū
The name of the weave of the fabric, an abbreviation of Kazetoori. Also called double-sided brocade, it is a double weave in which different colored threads are used for the warp and weft on the front and back, and the weave is alternated on the front and back according to a pattern, so that the pattern on the front and back is the same but the colors are reversed. The original form of this weaving method was found in the Heian period, but it was not until the mid-Meiji period that it was mass-produced and became popular.
