December 1, 1912 Born December 1, 1912. Second generation Japanese. In 1956, he won the AIA Award for the architecture of the St. Louis Airport. The following year, he won the Architectural Institute of Japan Award for the architecture of the American Consulate General in Kobe. Subsequent works include the Seattle World's Fair Science Museum and the World Trade Center in New York. Died February 6, 1986. Age 73. Born in Seattle. Graduated from the University of Washington.
