Bruno Yasenskiy

Japanese: ヤセンスキー - やせんすきー(英語表記)Бруно Ясенский/Bruno Yasenskiy
Bruno Yasenskiy

A Soviet writer born in Poland. While studying at Krakow University, he published revolutionary-themed poems such as "Song of Hunger" (1922) and "The Tale of Yakov Shela" (1925). He fled to Paris due to the Communist Party's oppression, and published a fantastical political novel, "Paris Burning" (1928), in the newspaper "Humanité", which became an international bestseller, but incurred the wrath of the Poincaré government, and fled to the Soviet Union in 1929. In the Soviet Union, he wrote the satirical play "The Ball of the Mannequins" (1930) and the spy novel "Man Changes His Skin" (1932), but was arrested as a "Trotskyist" in 1937 and died in prison. He was rehabilitated in 1956, and his posthumous work, "The Conspiracy of the Indifferent," caused a stir.
